Itinerary
Day 1: Sacred Valley with Maras and Moray Tour Itinerary
Your extended private tour begins with hotel pickup in Cusco and a drive to the Sacred Valley. The first stop is Taray Viewpoint 3,200 m (10,498 ft), where you can enjoy panoramic views of the valley, the Vilcanota River, surrounding mountains, and agricultural fields.
Continue to Pisac to visit its traditional market and impressive Inca archaeological site. Walk among the agricultural terraces and stone structures while learning about the importance of Pisac within the Sacred Valley. From here, continue through the valley to Ollantaytambo, known for its remarkable Inca terraces, ceremonial structures, and historic streets. Lunch is not included, so you can choose a restaurant according to your preferences.
After Ollantaytambo, travel to the Maras Salt Mines, where hundreds of salt pools cover the mountainside. See how salt is traditionally collected from these pools before continuing to Moray 3,480 m (11,417 ft). The Inca site features large circular terraces built into natural depressions in the landscape.
The final stop is Chinchero, situated at approximately 3,762 m (12,343 ft). Visit its Inca terraces and learn about the area's long-standing weaving traditions. After the visit, return to Cusco and conclude your full-day Sacred Valley tour with Maras and Moray.
