Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco – Llama Farm – Pisac – Urubamba – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes

We begin the day with a visit to a sanctuary for Andean camelids, where travelers can see and feed llamas and alpacas, along with a stop at an Andean textile center dedicated to preserving traditional Inca weaving techniques, before heading toward the Sacred Valley. At Pisac (2,972 masl), we take a dynamic guided tour through temples and agricultural terraces before continuing along a scenic route to Urubamba (2,871 masl) for lunch, followed by a visit to Ollantaytambo (2,846 masl), an Inca site built to guard the entrance to this section of the valley, where travelers stroll cobbled streets built centuries ago. From Ollantaytambo, we board the train for a 1 hour and 45 minute journey through varied Andean landscapes to Aguas Calientes (2,040 masl), where travelers transfer to their hotel for the night and receive information about the following day's visit to Machu Picchu.

Day 2: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Aguas Calientes – Ollantaytambo – Cusco

Our second day begins early with a 30-minute bus ride from Aguas Calientes to the citadel of Machu Picchu (2,430 masl), where we present the entrance tickets and begin the guided tour through temples, palaces, and buildings that reveal the skill of Inca architecture. Throughout the visit, we explain the history, archaeology, religion, and daily life of the Incas as we pass through the sanctuary's most significant sectors, leaving time for reflection and photographs before descending. After the tour, we take the bus back to Aguas Calientes for lunch on your own, followed by the train to Ollantaytambo and private transportation back to Cusco (3,399 masl), concluding this Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu tour with drop-off at your hotel.
