Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco – Mollepata – Soraypampa – Humantay Lake – Soraypampa – Mollepata – Cusco

We begin with hotel pickup in Cusco (3,399 masl) at 5:00 am, driving approximately 2 hours to the village of Mollepata (2,900 masl), where we stop for breakfast before continuing toward Soraypampa (3,900 masl), passing beautiful landscapes and views of the snow-capped Salkantay mountain along the way. Once we reach the trailhead at Soraypampa, the guide provides indications before starting the hike, which continues along a gentle pathway before climbing uphill for approximately two hours toward the lake, passing striking mountain views and a notable diversity of flora and fauna. At the lake shore (4,200 masl), surrounded by steep peaks and an impressive glacier, we relax, enjoy a snack, and take photographs before descending back to Soraypampa and driving to Mollepata for lunch, with return to Cusco by approximately 6:00 to 7:00 pm.
