The Rainbow Mountain Day Trip from Cusco starts with a pick up from your hotel at 7:00 am. We will take a 2-hour drive in our private vehicle, heading to the South Valley of Cusco. Here you will begin the hike enjoying a typical Andean scenery with herds of alpacas and llamas. After a total hike of approximately 1.5 hours, we’ll finally reach the Rainbow Mountain (5 036m/16,500ft). The natural vibrant colors of the Rainbow Mountain are simply stunning and beautiful. Once at the top, you’ll have free time to explore, take pictures and take it all in. Because of the altitude and cold, we’ll stay approximately 30 minutes at the summit. After that, we’ll descend the same trail for 1.5 hours, where our private transportation will wait for us.
Finally, the Rainbow Mountain day trip concludes and takes a 3-hour drive back to Cusco, and we’ll drop you off at your hotel around 7:00 pm.
