Day 1: Sacred Valley Tour and Machu Picchu Trip By Train

There are only two ways to ge to Machu Picchu either by train and via Inca Trail. Most people take a transportation from Cusco to Ollantaytambo and then train to Machu Picchu. The distance between Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu is 32 km.
Do i need a ticket to take the sacred valley private tour?
Yes, you do. You must have the Partial tourist ticket to visit Pisac and Ollantaytambo. This ticket cost 70 soles per person and can be purchased at the archaeological sites.
What ticket should i purchase to visit the different attractions of Cusco?
If you are staying in Cusco for multiple days and plan on doing lots of day trips to various ruins, buy a Boleto Turistico, it’ll save you money if you visit at least 3 sites. Some day trips will knock down a few bucks if you have it as you don’t have to pay for your entry fee.
